13. 4. 2018
On Tuesday, 3th April 2018, we attended a working meeting at the Nurses and Midwives Association of Slovenia - Association of Professional Associations of Nurses, Midwives and Healthcare Technicians of Slovenia, where two members of the international project team MICE-ICU, senior lecturer dr. Boris Miha Kaučič and lecturer Barbara Smrke presented the international research and development of the project Multicultural Care and European Intensive Care Units (MICE-ICU).
At the working meeting, the representatives of the College of Nursing in Celje which cooperate in the MICE-ICU project presented an e-learning platform that will enable nurses/healthcare professionals in intensive care units to improve their knowledge and skills in dealing with patients of different cultures. The e-learning platform, which will be available also in the Slovenian language, will empower health care providers with cultural competences. The project and e-learning platform was presented to Mrs Aniti Prelec, the executive director and Mr. Dejan Doberšek, the coordinator of the activities of the expert sections and the president of the section of Nurses and Medical Technicians in Anesthesiology, therapies and transfusiology and also to Mr. Drago Satošek, EfCCN's representative.
Testing of the e-learning platform will be held between nursing care providers in April and May 2018.
